It appears that preparations for the launching ceremony of the Choi Hyun-class destroyer, currently under construction at the Chongjin, are imminent. The ceremony is expected to include the addition of VIP viewing facilities and be attended by Kim Jong Un. Furthermore, it is anticipated that this destroyer, along with the first ship built in Nampo, will be deployed to the Munchon Base of the 13th naval fleet, under the East Sea Fleet Command. There, it is expected to either provide protective capabilities for the nuclear-powered submarine currently under construction or to operate as an offensive asset toward the US.
