Construction of the vehicular bridge, in addition to the existing single rail bridge connecting North Korea and Russia, has seen significant progress in just one month, particularly on the Russian side. Notably, a new 9-meter-wide temporary road connecting the border to HW 05A-214, north of Khasan Station, has been built. Site preparation for border checkpoint, immigration, and customs facilities is also underway. While markers indicating the placement of bridge pillars, installed on the frozen Tumen River last winter, are currently submerged due to rising water levels following the thaw, they remain anchored to the riverbed. It is anticipated that barges will be used to install the pillars when bridge construction progresses.
