Analysis of Rason City using artificial intelligence reveals active, ongoing arms exports to Russia, centered around Rajin Port. Furthermore, oil tankers previously identified at Rajin Port have recently been spotted at the Sungri oil quay. This recent activity however does not seem to be focused on restarting Sungri Oil Refinery through Russian crude oil supply, but rather on receiving refined oil products.

This new development provides North Korea with another way to avoid violating international sanctions related to crude oil imports and allows for the relatively inexpensive acquisition of refined oil products from Russia. This activity is expected to continue in the near future.
